Rev. Dylan Valliere
God graciously chases down David in his sin to bring him to repentance and grant forgiveness.
It is the kindness of God to force us to see and reckon with our sin that we might repent and receive his grace.
God’s restrained, righteous anger helps David to see his own sin and God’s grace more clearly.
Sin is first and foremost against God.
God does not treat David as he deserves but showers him with mercy and forgiveness.
Sin has costly consequences and produces collateral damage.
David knows God to be a God of grace and in repentance turns to the God he knows is gracious.
Do you honor God by treating him as though he is overflowing with genuine grace?
What we do for God is of little significance next to who we are as we walk with God.
