When we have more than we need, it becomes easy to lose sight of our need for God.

We would do well to practice thanksgiving, heartfelt worship, and humility.

True security can only be had in right relationship with God.

Our efforts are only truly beneficial if God is in it.

The way to God’s favor after sin is not better behavior but humble contrition.

God will be found when sought wholeheartedly.

Anything less that whole-hearted seeking after God is unworthy of him and makes us ripe for falling into sin.

The gospel is not a message of do better or try harder; it’s good news of God’s love and grace to you because of what Jesus has done perfectly for you.
