Call His Name Immanuel

This particular name is to be given to this special baby because this child will save his people from their sins.

Immanuel means God with us.

God chose for Jesus to enter our world as a human being because it was the only way to accomplish what God had planned.

Partook in Flesh and Blood

Jesus partook of flesh and blood.  He who was always fully God now became fully human also.

Jesus’ purpose required his death.

Jesus had to become just like us to save us.

God’s Humility

The humility of God is that he was willing to leave the riches of heaven and embrace the poverty of this world that by his poverty we might become rich.

Meditate on the miracle of Jesus’ humility in becoming Immanuel so that he could be one of us and die to save us.
